Internet connection from anywhere from within your wireless broadband network
|
How it Works:
The MBR1000 includes both wired- and wireless WAN
interfaces to provide the ultimate flexibility in Internet
connectivity for your enterprise. Particularly suited to
failover / back up applications, the MBR1000 is a perfect
high-performance fail-safe backbone for any business
where up-time is critical. Equipped with 2 USB ports and
1 Express Card slot, the unit allows a backup cellular
modem connection that can be equipped with a router
data plan. With this, cellular charges only apply when you
need it – when your wireline is down – allowing your
business to be continuously connected. You can even
use your data-capable handset, Smartphone, or even a
Blackberry as a backup even if you don’t have a modem
account set up yet!
In addition, 802.11 ‘n’ technology gives you the increased
speed and in-building penetration vs. 802.11 b/g
networking.
Range and Speed
The MBR1000 leads the Cellular Router market by
providing 802.11 ‘N’ technology for superior WLAN
distance and bandwidth, and includes Express Card and
USB modem ports with a wide list of compatible cellular
modems. The MBR1000 supports both EVDO and
HSDPA networks.
Continuous Connectivity
The MBR1000 incorporates built-in Cellular Failover
capability to provide a best-in-class Enterprise solution
that fits the needs of small- and medium-sized
businesses. Take your business ‘non-stop’ by adding a
cellular modem/router combination to your network
backup strategy.
Cellular-Ready
The MBR1000 includes advanced router features such
as WPA Protected Setup (WPS) to ensure easy and
reliable encryption setup. ‘SGNL’ mode converts the front
panel LEDs to signal strength indication – simplifying the
placement of cellular modem and WAN antenna, if
available.

1- The user experience with devices running Windows Mobile is less robust than other phones and
modems. Windows Mobile devices connected to either a PC or a CradlePoint router have exhibited
erratic behavior while using data sharing capabilities. Issues include frequent disconnects for no
apparent reason and remedies entail frequent rebooting the phone and or removing the phone's
battery. This problem is not something that can be resolved by CradlePoint Technology and will need
to be addressed by the phone manufacturer.
Compatibility
Supported modems, handsets & data cards can be found below. See additional notes.
Small Office / Remote Office
CradlePoint's MBR1000 provides the small office or remote office the ultimate insurance against
