|
PowerfulSignal has created a Pre-Amp
Kit for use with the following building kits:
- SOHO Kit
- SOHO Office Window Kit
- Small Building Kit (801105)
- Large Building Kit (801106 or
801306)
This pre-amp kit can not be used with

Guidelines for using the PowerfulSignal Pre-Amp Kit
|
The pre-amp is designed to be installed
between the outside receiving antenna
and the main cellular amplifier. The
pre-amp improves the broadcast range
of the building kit by providing a stronger
and better cell signal to the building
system it is attached to.
When should a pre-amp be used?
Pre-amps are used when the inside
broadcast signal from the inside
antenna does not have the desired
broadcast distance. Usually a pre-amp
will more than double the broadcast
distance from the inside antenna of a
building system.
The Pre-Amp Kit comes complete with
all connectors and coax to connect to
Powerful Signal's building systems.
Please contact PowerfulSignal if you
have any questions or need assistance.
We have experience and knowledge with
office and warehouse cellular building
systems.
The pre-amp is a Wilson dual band
direct connect amplifier.
2' jumper to connect pre-amp to a 50
or 60 dB building amp or Wilson
combiner/splitter.
2 connectors to connect pre-amp to
9913 coax or to be used with 2'
jumper to connect pre-amp to a
801245 SOHO.
Power supply to plug pre-amp into
standard wall plug.

- Installation Instructions
Example 1.
Let say that you have installed a SOHO Office Window Kit in an office with 10,000 sf. The office
floor is 100 feet by 100 feet. The SOHO amplifier is connected to the window panel antenna and
you have run 50 feet of 9913 coax to the dome antenna located in the center of the office, about
50 feet away from all the windows. You turn the amplifier on and are able to achieve a 20'
broadcast radius of usable cell signal from the dome antenna. The signal at the window is only
strong enough for the 50 dB SOHO amplifier to be able to broadcast a 20' usable cell signal
radius from the dome. A pre-amp installed in this situation will more than double the dome
antenna broadcast distance, depending upon obstructions and barriers within the office space.
This should provide your office space with more complete coverage.
