amplifier works with ALL North American cell phones, data

Product Description
This kit has been specifically designed for quick
and easy setup. No drilling or cutting. The Wilson
801245 SOHO Quick Kit is compatible with ALL US
800MHz and 1900 MHz cellular carriers except
Nextel/iDEN. This cellular kit improves both voice
and data cellular communications for a room in
your home, office, RV or motorhome. The dual
band 50/50 dB amplifier unit is primarily designed
for room size installations.
Two antennas; 6" and 12" Magnet Mount are
supplied with the kit. The 12" tuned dual band
antenna fits on the inside window antenna mount to
gather signal from the outside through the window
area. The 6" antenna sets on a table, desk, shelf or
mounted on the ceiling to broadcast the cell signal
throughout the room. Each antenna is connected to
the SOHO amplifier.
Both antennas have 10' of coax attached to them.
So you are starting with 10' from each antenna to
the amplifier. Two additional RG-58 coax
extensions cables come with the kit. You can have
different lengths of coax going to each antenna.
They do not have to be the same. Excess coax
length creates signal loss and is not desirable, but
be sure to give yourself enough coax to do the job.
The SOHO amplifier needs to be placed near a wall
plug or power needs to be brought to it with a power
extension cord.
If you find yourself needing longer lengths of coax to
place your antennas then you may want to consider
the SOHO Max kit that uses 9913 low loss coax
cable. Coax Cables.
Important: The two antennas should be separated
(line of site) about 20'. This distance can vary
depending upon signal strength and obstacles.
This is to prevent oscillation between the antennas.
This kit is designed to gather outside cell signals
from a widow. If you do not have any signal at your
window you should consider one of the other SOHO
kits that use roof mount antennas.
Antenna Information
A 3.5" diameter white metal ground plane (small
metal disk) has been provided for the inside mini
mag antenna. This ground plane serves two
purposes; First it provides an easy way to mount
the mini mag. The metal disk can be attached to
the ceiling, a table, a shelf, etc. using the supplied
velcro. The magnet on the 6" will attach to the 3.5"
disk. Second, the 3.5" metal disk severs as a cell
signal ground plane for the antenna to optimize its
performance. It is important to mounted both
antennas vertically. They are polarized for vertical
use and should not be mounted in a horizontal
position.
